Delivery Terms & Conditions

Delivery

The contract between Forest Eco UAB and the customer is deemed to be fulfilled upon the delivery of the order in good condition to the address specified by the customer. In the event that the order is delivered in damaged condition, the contract will still be considered fulfilled once the customer has received a refund due to any damages, provided the customer has notified Forest Eco UAB in accordance with these Terms and Conditions within the specified time frame.

We use both third-party hauliers and our own vehicles for some local deliveries. Liability for any issues arising during the delivery process rests with the haulier or, if our own vehicles. If any issues arise with a third-party haulier, customers must contact Forest Eco UAB immediately at 01464 820011 before the delivery is completed. Forest Eco UAB will then liaise with the haulier to resolve the matter

Forest Eco UAB does not guarantee delivery on any specific date requested by the customer in the delivery notes. While we will make every effort to communicate your preferred delivery date to our hauliers, delivery will proceed based on our standard delivery terms and conditions. In the event that the order is delivered outside of the requested date, Forest Eco UAB assumes no liability for any inconvenience caused. For customers requiring a specific delivery date, we strongly recommend contacting our office directly to discuss your needs with a member of staff.

The customer agrees to accept delivery of their order within the lead time indicated at the time of placing the order. If the customer is unable to receive the delivery within this timeframe, Forest Eco UAB reserves the right to impose a storage fee of up to £10 per item, per day, starting from the 8th day after the initial delivery attempt. Forest Eco UAB also reserves the right to refuse the order if the customer fails to take delivery after repeated attempts.

Delivery Access Requirements

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that there is suitable access to the delivery location for the delivery vehicle. If a delivery attempt is made but cannot be completed due to lack of access that could have been reasonably foreseen, a redelivery fee of £50 plus VAT per pallet will be charged.

The customer must provide accurate delivery addresses and detailed instructions. If the delivery location is unclear or the instructions are insufficient, and the delivery cannot be completed, a redelivery fee of £50 plus VAT will be applied.

If the delivery site is deemed unsuitable by the delivery driver (eg, limited space, uneven surfaces), and no alternative arrangements are made, the customer will be responsible for the costs of returning the pallet to Forest Eco UAB. Any failure to provide access will result in these additional costs being passed on to the customer.

If a specific delivery date has been communicated and the customer is not present to receive the goods, Forest Eco UAB will assess whether the goods can be safely left at the location. If this is not possible, a redelivery fee of £50 plus VAT per pallet will be charged.

Where the customer has explicitly requested that the goods be left in their absence, the delivery driver will assess the safety of leaving the goods. If it is determined that leaving the goods is unsafe or unsuitable, the goods will not be left, and a redelivery fee of 520 plus VAT will apply.

Liability for Damage during Delivery

Forest Eco UAB does not accept liability for any damage to property, persons, or vehicles that occurs during the delivery process.

Liability for any damage lies with the third-party haulier where one is used. In cases where Forest Eco UAB uses its own vehicle, the company will accept liability for any damage caused by its drivers, subject to the following conditions:

If any damage occurs during delivery, the customer must adhere to the following process to ensure any claims can be handled promptly:
– Obtain a written statement from the delivery driver, detailing the extent and nature of the damage. Ensure this includes the driver’s name, vehicle registration number, and the haulier’s company details, including insurance information if available.
– Take clear photographs of the damage.
– Contact Forest Eco UAB immediately to report the incident. While we cannot directly handle claims for third-party hauliers, we may assist in expediting the claims process on your behalf.

Defective Goods and Returns

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods are suitable for their intended use before purchase. In the event that goods are found to be defective or not in accordance with the order, Forest Eco UAB will offer one of the following resolutions:
– Remove the defective goods at no additional cost and provide a full refund for the value of the goods removed .
– Replace the defective goods at no extra cost.

If the customer is dissatisfied with the goods but they conform to the terms of the agreement, they may return the goods, subject to the following conditions:
– The goods must be returned in a salable condition.
– At least 66% of the original order must be returned.
– Forest Eco UAB will refund the value of the returned goods, excluding the original delivery costs. A charge of £50 plus VAT per pallet will be applied to cover the cost of return transport.

Damage to Goods during Delivery

If any part of your order is damaged during delivery, Forest Eco UAB will refund the value of the damaged goods, provided that the following steps are taken:
– The customer signs the delivery note, indicating that the goods were damaged upon receipt.
– The customer notifies Forest Eco UAB within 24 hours of delivery, detailing the volume of goods lost or rendered unusable.
– Photographic evidence of the damaged goods must be provided to support the claim.

Please note, only lost/unusable product will be compensated for – damaged packaging is not a basis for a claim.

Delivery Timeframes and Lead Times

Forest Eco UAB provides estimated delivery schedules for each delivery service. All delivery timeframes are guidelines, and the company will not be held liable for any delays beyond the estimated delivery period.

Orders placed before 2 pm on a standard working day will typically be dispatched the following working day, subject to stock availability.

If stock is temporarily unavailable and is expected to be restocked within four days, Forest Eco UAB will continue accepting orders for the product. For longer stock outages, sales of the affected item will be restricted.
